Angelika de la Cruz started her career in 1995 as a struggling singer. She went on to perform in different singing contests and eventually auditioned to sing the theme song of the canned cartoon series Sailor Moon.
At 15, de la Cruz landed a role in the film Nights of Serafina, where she played the sister of one of the leads for which she received a Best New Actress Award from the Metro Manila Film Festival.[citation needed] She then joined ABS-CBN's soap opera Mara Clara. After her stint in Mara Clara, starred in Esperanza. She followed that with a role in the teen horror series Oka Tokat and the horror movie Magandang Hatinggabi.
Dela Cruz made two albums under BMG Records and one album under Imperial Records. She also made several movies from different movie outfits and was featured in different commercials.[
